Can Line Voltage Lamp Posts be Converted to Low Voltage?

If line voltage wiring has been cut or damaged that supplies power to exterior lamp posts or column lights, there is a much more cost effective solution than having to totally replace the line voltage line. And that solution is to convert or replace the fixture with a low voltage lamp – either LED or quartz halogen.
